// About

Things you can see, you can care for.

mytochi exists because most of what shapes how we feel goes unmeasured. Many people rarely look at themselves at all. Making it visible is the first step, and it should be done properly.

// The idea

Energy is the budget.

Who we are is shaped less by what happens to us than by how we appraise it. Everything we encounter in a day is appraised continuously: the relationships we live in, with ourselves, with family and friends, with the people we work with, but also the work itself, the demands placed on us, the environment we move through. Each appraisal has a cost or a yield. What we evaluate as positive replenishes energy. What we evaluate as negative, and what triggers strong emotion, draws on it: attention narrows, functioning drops, and part of the day is spent returning to baseline rather than moving toward a goal.

That matters because the things that fulfill people over time are effortful. Meaning, mastery, close relationships, a mind that stays stimulated: none of them are available to someone in constant stress and survival mode. Managing one's energy budget is therefore not wellness, it is the precondition for a life lived on purpose. Organizations think of their workforce as human capital, and that is exactly what it is: the workforce is the capital of an organization, and you are your own. Individuals rarely apply this view to themselves, just as many organizations could make more of theirs.

mytochi makes that budget measurable where it matters, for you or for your organization: to identify where energy is spent, and where the leverage lies for what you are committed to. Measurement is what turns a vague sense of being drained into something a person can act on.

I built mytochi to bring the rigor of validated instruments to questions people usually answer by feel. mytochi is meant as a mirror: not of a single day, but of the sum of what happened and how you met it. Over the past four weeks, over the past year, over whatever you choose to look at. Most of us never see that picture whole. mytochi draws it, so that what you see, you can care for.

// What we will not do
No selling of data. Not to advertisers, not to employers, not to anyone.
No diagnosis. Instruments describe patterns; they do not label people.
No unvalidated claims. An instrument says pilot until it has earned validated.
No individual exposure. Organizations see groups, never persons.
